Call for Papers
'Sustainability' is a major and growing driver of business change and the implications for innovation management are manifold. In a world of 7, 8 or 9 billion people with rising expectations, providing energy, food and resource security, dealing with climate change, tackling pollution and a host of other issues will require massive change in products, services, and processes as well as the underlying business models and value chains.
What does this mean for how we organise and manage innovation? Are our current models for handling the process sufficient, or will the nature and pace of change require radically new approaches? What kinds of innovation ecosystem might emerge and how will current players position themselves within it? What opportunities exist for entrepreneurs and how can they best frame their activities to ride the waves of change? What new skills will we need for innovation within – and between – our organisations? What tools, techniques and approaches will help equip established players and aspiring new entrants to innovate effectively in future wasteless value chains?
Submissions from academic, research, consulting, industry, intermediary and policy organisations are strongly encouraged and should focus on the following general themes or Conference Focus Theme:
|
|
The Conference Focus Theme includes topics such as: sustainable public sector innovation; regional and EU-level innovation policy and initiatives; sustainable value chains; innovation in regulatory frameworks; social entrepreneurship for sustainability; learning from and with 'bottom of pyramid' markets; business models to exploit sustainable innovation opportunities; skills, partnerships, technology and incentive systems for sustainability in innovation management.

Important Submission Deadlines:
- 31 December 2010: Outlines Only (All Submissions)
- 31 January 2011: Acceptance Notification
- 29 April 2011: Final Submissions (including papers, slides, profiles & photos) together with registration and payment

Submissions:
The table below describes the possible submission types for this conference. All files should be submitted online at www.conferencesubmissions.com/ispim2011 by the respective deadline date. Do NOT email submissions to ISPIM. Please note that due to the popularity of this event, only one submission per person and only one presentation per person is permitted. There is no limit on co-authoring or co-presenting.
Presenters should be available to give their presentation at any point during the three days. We cannot entertain individual requests for times or slots because it significantly impairs the quality and coherence of the themed sessions and integrated programme.
